Spring Camps & Programs

CONNECTED Family Program

When: March 20th – March 23th Where: Online! Who: Families with a diagnosed child age 0-19

Our FREE digital program, CONNECTED, reaches campers (whether newly diagnosed, in treatment, or in remission), siblings, and their families who may not be able to attend an in-person camp at this time.

Through on-demand activities, single or multi-day programs, and educational sessions, CONNECTED brings the magic of camp to you at home, in the hospital….WHEREVER you are!

Our Spring CONNECTED program welcomes you to Jurassic Camp! Get ready to spend time with Camp One Step families on a jurassic-themed adventure. Participants will join online for any or all of the activities, as well as enjoy offline fun!

Applications for 2025 have closed.
If you are a newly diagnosed family please reach out to Mbrown@camponestep.org

CONNECTED Family Program

Brain Tumor Family Camp

When: May 2 – May 4
Where: Conference Point Center – Williams Bay, WI
Who: Families with a child who has a brain or CNS tumor age 0-19

Brain Tumor Family Camp is a fun, getaway weekend for families who have a child 19 years or younger who has been diagnosed with a brain or CNS (central nervous system) tumor. As always, camp is adaptive and inclusive to serve all ability levels. This camp experience provides support from other families who understand how a diagnosis affects the entire family.

Program leaders will prepare fun, interactive activities along with supporting workshops for the whole family. Families will have a chance to relax, reconnect as a family, and develop friendships with other families who truly understand the challenges that a brain tumor diagnosis presents.

Applications for 2025 have closed.

Please reach out to Devin Ryan-Holanda (dryan@camponestep.org) if you have any questions!

Brain Tumor Family Camp

Day Camp

When: Apr 11 – Apr 13
Where: Bernard Weinger JCC – Northbrook, IL
Who: Diagnosed campers, survivors, & siblings ages 5-10

Day Camp is unique in comparison to our other Camp One Step camps. It offers pediatric cancer patients and survivors, as well as their siblings, between the ages of 5-10 the opportunity to experience the wonderful support and fun of camp during the day and then get to sleep in their own bed at night.

Each day of camp we will have an amazing time visiting some of the most fun and educational places – from visiting museums, playing games, making arts & crafts, and learning about animals at one of the local zoos, we plan a wide variety of activities for our campers.

Parents will drop their campers off in the morning and, after their exciting day, pick them up in the early evening.

Applications for 2025 have closed.

Please reach out to Devin Ryan-Holanda (dryan@camponestep.org) if you have any questions!
